Welcome to INSTALL - Episode 3

Postprandial glucose (PPG) plays a critical role in determining overall glycemic control, particularly in patients close to their glycemic goals. In addition, it determines the development of complications in patients with diabetes. Postprandial hyperglycemia may have a more significant effect on the development of cardiovascular complications compared with elevated fasting plasma glucose.

Considering the limitations of premixed insulins, co-formulation insulin-based product allow a simpler insulin regimen with fewer injections alongside basal and prandial insulin coverage.

The INSTALL – episode 3 will cover the following learning objectives:

  • Introducing the importance of post prandial glycemic control (PPG)
  • The role of IDegAsp co-formulation in PPG and benefits of co-formulation over premix insulins
  • Review key practical aspects of diabetes management during Ramadan

We look forward to your presence and active participation during the workshop.

Sincerely,

Dr. Mohamed Hassanein
